Johannesburg to Maputo
The Luso Africa Cycling fourth annual Mozambique Charity ride has ended with 685km being covered by pedal power. This year saw five young riders participate in the charity ride. The youngest of whom is 17 years of age and a first-time participant. Remo, at the ripe age of 69 years, is the oldest rider and can boast four charity tour rides along with three other riders. Two well-known vet riders also joined the charity tour, namely Jorge Faria an ex SA time trial champion & Roberto Gnudi the owner of Panda sports. After much planning and excitement, the Luso Africa cyclists took to the road on Wednesday morning, the 28th September 2011, just after 7. They departed from Luso Africa’s premises in Primrose on the East Rand, where they began their charity ride.
