João Camacho
João Camacho attended St. Charles College in Pietermaritzburg, where he excelled in multiple sports.
He captained the 1st Team Basketball and earned Full School Colours for his achievements with the Natal Colts Basketball Team. He was also a member of the 1st Team Cross Country and the 2nd Team Rugby, showcasing his versatility as an athlete.
In athletics, João participated in a variety of track and field events, specialising in the 400m, 800m, and 1600m races.
His dedication to sports extended beyond personal achievements—he completed the Natal Midlands Cycling Tour, a demanding 333km ride over three days, to raise funds for constructing a new basketball court.
João’s passion for cycling began in primary school with BMX riding and later evolved into road cycling during his high school years.
His journey in sports reflects a deep commitment to endurance, teamwork, and athletic excellence.
