When visitors leave comments, we collect:

If you use Gravatar, an anonymised string (hash) from your email may be sent to check if you have a profile. You can view Gravatar’s privacy policy here. Once approved, your profile picture will be visible with your comment.
Media Uploads
If you upload images, avoid including location data (EXIF GPS), as visitors can extract this information.

We use cookies to improve your experience:
- Commenting: If you leave a comment, you may opt to save your name, email, and website in cookies for convenience. These last one year.
- Login: Temporary cookies check if your browser accepts cookies. Login cookies last two days, and screen preference cookies last one year. Selecting “Remember Me” keeps you logged in for two weeks.
- Editing & Publishing: A cookie is saved when you edit or publish an article, expiring after one day.
Embedded Content
Articles may include embedded content (videos, images, etc.) from other websites. These sites may collect data, use cookies, and track interactions as if you visited them directly.
Who We Share Your Data With
- If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
- Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
How Long We Retain Your Data
- Comments: Stored indefinitely for moderation purposes.
- Registered Users: Personal information is stored in user profiles. Users can edit or delete their data anytime (except usernames). Website administrators can also manage this information.
Your Rights Over Your Data
If you have an account or have left comments, you can:
- Request an exported file of the personal data we hold.
- Request that we erase your personal data (except data required for legal or security reasons).
